JEFF Journal Official Accreditation

The highly respected Journal of Engineered Fibers and Fabrics (JEFF), an international, peer-reviewed scientific e-Journal that publishes original R&D on all aspects of fabric technologies and their value chain from raw materials to end use products, has official accreditation from Thomson Reuters.

JEFF is published by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry. Behnam Pourdeyhimi, PhD and Executive Director of The Nonwovens Institute at NC State University, is the Editor-in-Chief of the international, peer-reviewed, scientific e-Journal. Michael Starsinic, PhD, is the journal’s Managing Editor.  Operational support comes from a team of highly-accomplished PhD’s in North America, Europe and Asia who serve as area editors.

This official recognition allows JEFF to take its place among a select group of peer-reviewed journals that are noted for advancing research in their field. An enhancing benefit of accreditation, for authors, is the inclusion of their work in the Thomson Citation Indexes.

“This is a significant milestone in the evolution of JEFF,” said Michael Starsinic.  “Our goal has always been to become the leading research journal for professionals in our field and this achievement is a very important step. With feedback from our readers, we continue to strive for improvement. For example, to supplement our regular issues, special issues dedicated to specific topics are also planned.”

Behnam Pourdeyhimi, Editor-in-Chief, said, “The Citation Index is a major accomplishment for a research journal and significantly raises its stature and importance within the academic community. The JEFF Journal was already an important publication for nonwovens professionals and this certification makes it an even more vital tool for academia.”

Added Jim Loftus, Technical Director at INDA, “The accreditation of the industry’s official technical journal is an important development for the global nonwovens industry and, more importantly, for the technical people and academics that contribute to it. We look forward to expanding its reach and for the JEFF Journal to play an even more important role in the industry worldwide.”
